Board holds first meeting in health-insurance risk pool

RALEIGH- The N.C. Department of Insurance said yesterday that it held the first board meeting of the new N.C. Health Insurance Risk Pool. The pool was created to provide health insurance to people whose health or medical history prevents them from receiving affordable coverage from health-insurance companies.
